Alzheimer’s Disease- A form of dementia that makes the brain slowly die causing the lack of mental ability.[1]

Dementia- Severe loss of the capactiy of the brain this occurrs when the brains neurons are lossed or damaged.[2]




Alzheimer's disease (AD) causes deterioration of the brain. Alzheimer’s disease is the most common form of a dementia that affects older people ages 75-84. The older you get the more the likely you are to get the disease. 4.5 million Americans over the age of 65 are affected with this disease. This dementia gets worse as time progresses. There are 3 stages to Alzheimer’s, mild, moderate, and severe.[3]
